H+S Aviation Expands CT7 ECMP Overhaul Agreement with GE Aviation

H+S Aviation expanded its CT7 Engine Overhaul Subcontract Agreement (EOSA) with GE Aviation to include all CT7-5A and CT7-9B ECMP (Engine Care Maintenance Program) commercial engine shop visits beginning January 1, 2013. As part of this agreement, GE will continue to manage CT7 ECMP contracts and supply OEM parts to H+S, who will perform all labor on engine shop visits.

In 2011, CT7-5A and -9B engines totaled 170 shop visits, accounting for more than 80% of all CT7 shop visits.

"H+S Aviation's track record on the maintenance, repair and overhaul of these engines makes them an ideal partner moving forward."

GE's successful T700/CT7 family of turboprop and turboshaft engines currently powers 25 types of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft in service with more than 130 customers in more than 50 countries.

The 1,900-shaft-horsepower CT7 turboprop was certified in 1983 and entered service as a regional airliner powerplant in June 1984 on the Saab 340. H+S Aviation has performed maintenance on various models of the CT7/T700 series since 1984. During that time, the company has processed more than 2,500 of this engine model type through its repair facility.

The CT7 engine family has accumulated over 50 million engine flight hours of experience. In total, more than 1,600 CT7 turboprop engines have been delivered worldwide.
