Seven dead in German air crash

At least seven people died in the crash of two small planes in central Germany on Saturday, police said.

The victims appeared to include four children, a police spokesman told AFP. He added that there could be an eighth person among those killed in the crash.

The two aircraft plunged into a field near the town of Woelfersheim, north of Frankfurt, for still unknown reasons, police told AFP.

The planes took off from Germany but it was not immediately known where exactly the flights originated nor their destinations or who were their passengers, police added.
