The U.S. Navy has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) an eight-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract to support the Training Data Products Contract (TDPC) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division. Northrop Grumman was one of several companies selected to compete for task orders under the ID/IQ contract, which has a ceiling value of $780 million.

"The Navy places high importance on delivering superior training and readiness for the Navy and Marine Corps," said Greg Schmidt, vice president and general manager, Training Solutions division, Northrop Grumman Technical Services. "Northrop Grumman's extensive experience and innovative training solutions leverage existing capabilities and emerging technologies to meet the services' readiness demands."

Northrop Grumman will produce an array of training systems and intermediate work products designed to improve the training experience. Among the items Northrop Grumman will provide are training data products that support training and simulation systems ranging from curriculum development to construction of an entire training system.

"We're a leader in delivering efficient and affordable training products and solutions in the industry," said Mike O'Neill, TDPC program manager, Northrop Grumman Technical Services. "Our goal is to continually provide core capabilities to the Navy and Marines as training needs continue to evolve and technology advances."
