SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company, world leader in systems and radars for defence and security, for airport, maritime, air traffic control and management systems, attends IDLS, International Data Links Symposium 2012, which takes place at the Athenaeum InterContinental in Athens, Greece, from 16th to 19th October 2012.
The Finmeccanica company attends the symposium by showcasing its multi functional naval console equipped with the company’s Multi Data Link Processor (M-DLP).
The M-DLP of SELEX Sistemi Integrati integrates Link 11 a/b, Link 16, Link 22, J-REAP and VMF and has been developed to offer, in an automatic and simplified way, the capability to manage several tactical links. M-DLP enables naval, land and avionic military platforms to exchange data coming from onboard sensors and information relevant to one’s own position and in real-time, allowing to build shared tactical picture.
Already used by the Italian Air Force, the M-DLP has been developed for the Cavour carrier vessel and the new FREMM frigates. SELEX Sistemi Integrati’s M-DLP was also sold to the Finnish Navy for which the most important world-wide operational Link22 network installation on board of naval units will be realized.
The M-DLP was recently chosen also by the Australian Defence Force Tactical Data Link Authority. It represents the very first defence system ever sold in Australia by SELEX Sistemi Integrati.
