Ten dead in plane crash in Russian Far East: official

Ten people died and four were injured Wednesday after a small plane crashed in far-eastern Russia, an emergency ministry official told AFP.

The An-28 passenger plane went down in the far-flung Kamchatka region of Russia just after midnight local time (0000 GMT), said a spokeswoman with the far-eastern branch of the emergency ministry. It had a total of 14 people on board, she said.
