Curtiss-Wright Controls Awarded Contract for Missile Defense System

  • For Rugged Data Transport System for use in Command & Control Trailer

Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. today announced that it has received a contract from a major defense contractor to provide Data Transport System (DTS) devices for use in an air and missile defense system program. Based on industry standard Ethernet protocols, the COTS DTS product provides Network Attached Storage (NAS) functionality in rugged environments while reducing space, weight and power (SWaP). The initial contract has commenced and has a potential program lifetime value estimated at $2 million. Shipment began in July, 2012 and will continue through the life of the program.
