EmailDecision Sciences Awarded $400,000 US Defense Department Contract for Explosives Detection Technology

Decision Sciences International, an advanced technology provider of security and detection systems, today announced it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO) to test muon tomography based scanning systems capable of detecting explosives. The contract has an estimated value of $400,000 over eight months.
"We're pleased to have this opportunity to work with the Department of Defense through CTTSO to evaluate and test Decision Sciences' technology," said Decision Sciences President and CEO Dr. Stanton D. Sloane.
Under the contract, the DoD's CTTSO will evaluate Decision Sciences' passive scanning technology which uses naturally occurring cosmic ray muons to detect potential threats in cargo, vehicles and other conveyances.
