StandardAero has signed an exclusive long-term service agreement with Brit Air to maintain their CF34-8C5A1 engines on their current and future fleet of Bombardier CRJ1000 regional jets, as well as their CF34-8C5B1 engines on a selected number of their Bombardier CRJ700s. "We’re excited about this opportunity to support Brit Air’s new fleet of CRJ1000, CF34-8C5A1 engines," said Jeffrey Wood, Senior Vice President, Airlines & Fleets, StandardAero. "It’s a tremendous recog nition and validation of service excellence, to be selected as the service provider of choice on a brand new fleet that uses the latest engine technology available. Entering into this agreement reflects Brit Air’s confidence in us to provide the most flexible and comprehensive MRO support. It further establishes StandardAero as a leading MRO service provider within Europe as well as expands our global MRO footprint."

StandardAero has been a long-time partner in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the GE CF34™ engine, last month announcing the delivery of its 1000th engine; a CF34-3 engine for Brit Air.

The maintenance will be performed out of the 162,000 sq. ft facility in Winnipeg, Canada which supports the CF34 engine and the larger CFM56-7B engine used on Boeing’s fleet of 737 Next Generation aircraft.
