The Oshkosh Defense® M-ATV Tactical Ambulance will be demonstrated at the Defence Vehicle Dynamics (DVD) Exhibition, June 20-21 at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire, England. Oshkosh will be exhibiting at stand OR-31/OR-33 during the event.
Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE:OSK), designed the M-ATV Tactical Ambulance to meet an international need for a more protected battlefield ambulance that can travel more extensively off-road. The vehicle is the latest variant within the Oshkosh MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) family. More than 8,200 life-saving M-ATVs are currently fielded in Afghanistan.
Oshkosh worked closely with military medical professionals on the vehicle’s design and interior layout. The fully functional ambulance will help military medics reach and treat casualties in hostile environments across rugged terrain. It allows for prompt extraction and treatment of patients when every moment counts, and has mounting provisions that provide options for a complete suite of medical equipment. The vehicle is available in two configurations that provide ample room to treat two patients on stretchers or four ambulatory patients.
