Two die in Czech light aircraft crash: report

Two people died in the Czech Republic Sunday when a light military training fighter they were aboard crashed near the northwestern town of Ceradice, Czech media said.

The 52-year-old pilot died on the spot as the plane went down shortly after take-off, while a 30-year-old woman died later in hospital, said the CTK news agency.

It added that the woman had been given the 15-minute flight as a birthday present and that the ejection seats were blocked to comply with regulations.
