Five killed as plane makes emergency landing in Ukraine

Five people died and 13 were injured Sunday when a plane carrying parachutists made an emergency landing in Ukraine due to poor weather conditions, emergency officials said.

The small turboprop L-410 plane with 16 parachutists and two crew members landed in the Kiev region in heavy rain and gusty winds, the emergencies ministry said.

The injured were hospitalised, it said, without giving further details.
