L-3 Unidyne Wins Contract for US Navy Submarine Support Program
L-3 Unidyne announced today that it has been awarded a contract valued at up to $79 million to provide submarine electronic and mechanical system engineering, analytical, logistics and technical support services for the U.S. Navy. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va.; Portsmouth, N.H.; Kings Bay, Ga.; Groton, Conn.; Bremerton, Wash.; San Diego, Calif.; Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; and Guam.
Under the contract, L-3 Unidyne will provide equipment or system expertise to aid in troubleshooting, repair, assessment, inspection, failure analysis, maintenance training, logistics support, modernization, and long-term problem resolution for all classes of U.S. Navy submarines on a worldwide basis. The purpose of the contract is to sustain a high level of operational and materiel readiness of the submarines supported by the Norfolk Ship Support activity and to enhance the maintenance training and technical expertise of the sailors who man those ships.

L-3 Unidyne, a division of L-3 Marine & Power Systems, provides engineering, analytical, technical and industrial support services for DoD maritime customers and related commercial businesses.
