United States Army Fields TASER X26 ECDs

TASER International, Inc. (NASDAQ: TASR), a global provider of safety technologies that protect life, prevent conflict, and resolve disputes, today announced an order was received for TASER® X26™ electronic control devices (ECDs) from Aardvark, TASER International's sole approved distributor of TASER products for Federal and Military buyers.

The order represents an initial purchase of 3,500 X26 ECDs from Aardvark, as part of a larger program for TASER devices. The X26s will be deployed to military police and allows the enhanced ability to manage escalation of force while conducting military, humanitarian, and stability and support operations.

It is anticipated that this order for will ship in the first quarter of 2012.
