Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. today announced that it has received a contract from Sechan Electronics to provide a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) network switch processor for use in the Ground Based Operational Surveillance System (G-BOSS) Electronics Payload Interface Box (EPIB) for the U.S. Marine Corps. Curtiss-Wright Controls will supply its rugged VME DMV-682 Gigabit Ethernet Switch card to Sechan Electronics to provide managed network switching for the G-BOSS program. The initial contract for the demonstration phase of the program is valued at $142 thousand. The potential lifetime value of the contract is valued in excess of $5 million. Shipments have commenced and are scheduled to continue through 2016.
“We are very pleased that Sechan Electronics has chosen our rugged COTS Ethernet processor technology for this important surveillance system,” said David Adams, Co-Chief Operating Officer of Curtiss-Wright Corporation.
