Silynx was thrilled to host our own private advance screening of the film in early February at the Naval Heritage Center in Washington, DC. Surrounded by friends, customers, media, and member of Congress and Administration, CEO Gil Limonchik gave opening remarks focused on the work of our Armed Forces and Special Forces Community and acknowledged their bravery and huge sacrifices. “Our job is to make sure we keep on innovating and fighting to provide the warfighter the most advanced technological gear in the world. Our job is to fight to make sure there is adequate funding to equip the warfighter and to enhance his survivability, lethality, and situational awareness,” Limonchik stated. He continued, “I want every army, every insurgent, every terrorist across the world, to say, ‘Hell no. I don’t want to fight the Americans. It’s a losing proposition.’”
Silynx was also honored to host Jim Smith, executive director of the Navy SEAL Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides support in times of adversity and achievement to U.S. Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, Naval Special Warfare support personnel and their families.
“The film offers a rare look into the lives of U.S. Navy SEALs and their families, with realistic portrayals, revealing the commitment of the men and the sacrifices of their families,” said Smith. “Viewing this film, inside the Navy Memorial and alongside senior members of the defense industry, was an extraordinary experience. We appreciate the occupational consideration of active duty SEALs transitioning into the civilian sector.”
In addition to providing tragedy assistance to families when a Navy SEAL has fallen or been wounded in the line of duty, the Navy SEAL Foundation hosts special family events, offers educational opportunities and initiates projects that honor warriors.
“While these men are deployed, often in austere locations and on dangerous missions, it is the Foundation’s role to make sure their families are supported and cared for here at home. Our mission is to help the SEAL operators focus on their mission,” said Smith.
