P&W Wins $200 M PW4000 Advantage70 Engine Order from Korean Air

Korean Air selected Pratt & Whitney's PW4170 Advantage70™ engine to power five new Airbus A330 aircraft. The agreement, valued at approximately $200 million, represents 10 firm PW4170 engines. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company.

"We are proud that Korean Air, one of the world's top airlines, has again selected Pratt & Whitney engines to power their new Airbus A330 aircraft," said Todd Kallman, Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines & Global Services president. "This agreement further strengthens our already strong relationship." 

Korean Air, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, is one of the world's top 20 airlines and top-ranked international cargo airlines. The airline offers flights to 119 cities in 40 countries. It is a founding member of SkyTeam, the global airline alliance.
