GEOCORE an Envitia led team wins DSTL contract
- GEOCORE an Envitia led team including Helyx SIS Ltd, the University of Nottingham, University College London and QinetiQ wins major contract to deliver the MoD research into Geospatial Information and Intelligence Services
GEOCORE1 led by Envitia, including Helyx SIS Ltd, University of Nottingham, University College London (UCL) and QinetiQ has been awarded a two year £1.9M contract by Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), Advanced Geospatial information and Intelligence Services (AGIS) research programme. This includes the development of science and technology, methods and techniques to underpin and improve the handling and understanding of GEOINF/GEOINT within Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Other Government Departments (OGDs).
The research will be exploitable over the next 5-10 years and will identify opportunities for the rapid development and insertion of geospatial technology.
The scope of the research includes: an assessment of future defence requirements, in addition to undertaking a broad range of Geospatial research to support the MoD ISTAR domain, supporting delivery of the MoD’s Spatial Data Infrastructure.
