Implant Sciences' Quantum Sniffer QS-B220 Achieves CE Certification
- CE Mark Opens Door for Sales of the Benchtop Explosives and Narcotics Trace Detector in Europe and Beyond
"Since nearly all customers in Europe require CE certification, this is a key to opening up the European market for our QS-B220. It will also support our efforts outside of the EU, as buyers in many nations look to CE certification as a guide for quality and safety in their own markets," stated Bruce Bower, Implant Sciences' Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
"This is a significant milestone for Implant Sciences and for our QS-B220. Europe is a substantial market for us, where we have established distribution channels already selling our QS-H150 handheld portable explosives trace detector," stated Glenn D. Bolduc, President and CEO of Implant Sciences. "With CE certification, we can immediately leverage these distribution channels to offer our benchtop model. Meeting CE standards also satisfies several requirements mandated by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration."
The QS-B220 benchtop explosives and narcotics trace detector is well suited for a variety of security settings, including high-traffic airports and borders. The system is currently being evaluated by security organizations around the world.
