OGMA and EMBRAER sign partnership agreement for KC-390

Alverca, Portugal - OGMA and EMBRAER Defense and Security signed today a partnership agreement for the KC-390 aircraft Development Programme.

The contracted work package covers the industrialization, production and product support phases of the KC-390 central fuselage panels, elevators, fairings and landing-gear doors.


This contract further establishes OGMA participation in the development phase, as well as supporting to Embraer during the aircraft certification phase.

The firmed agreement represents a unique opportunity for OGMA to play a relevant role in a long-term programme, partnering with one of the world's leading aircraft manufacturers, by supplying high value-added part segments.

Production of the first KC-390 prototype is to begin in 2013 and the aircraft maiden flight is scheduled for 2014.
