Harris to Provide Tactical Radio Systems to International Partners of US Southern Command

The four-year contract, awarded by the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT), is a vehicle for Harris to a provide radios, accessories, communication systems and services to these partners. The contract is part of the U.S. Government's counter-illicit trafficking program, which focuses on collaboration and interoperability by providing defense equipment, training and services.

"These radios and systems will deliver enhanced situational awareness and command and control technology in addressing the persistent problem of illicit trafficking. Our portfolio will provide the communication capabilities users need for mission success."
The contract covers an expansive sustainment program with certified Harris trainers and engineers providing operator and maintenance support throughout the region. It also provides a logistics backbone to support the inventory of existing Falcon II(r) radios - such as the RF-5800H High Frequency and the RF-5800M multiband radios - as well as a path to upgrade to Falcon III radios such as the RF-7800M multiband and RF-7800V VHF radios.
