Alloy Surfaces announces $9M US Navy Special Material Decoys Order

Chester Township, PA - Alloy Surfaces Company, Inc. (ASC) of Chester Township, Pennsylvania, a Chemring Group PLC ("Chemring") subsidiary, announces a $9M delivery order on an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to manufacture MJU-49/B decoy devices for United States Navy (USN) aircraft. Delivery of these units is scheduled to begin this month and will continue through March 2013. All work will be performed at Alloy Surfaces' plant in Chester Township, Pa.

ASC's President, Lawrence D'Andrea, stated, "We are very pleased to receive this contract order as the United States Navy continues to express its confidence and trust in Special Material Decoys (SMDs). We are very proud to deliver the highest quality infrared decoys to all our armed forces. The US Navy will use the MJU-49/B decoys to protect all types of fighter, transport, patrol, and helicopter aircraft."
