The FCSA program, a partnership between GSA and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), is a comprehensive set of acquisition activities that are intended to replace expiring DISA and GSA contracts, including DSTS-G, DISA Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) and SATCOM II. DRS Technical Services is currently an incumbent on both the DSTS-G and SATCOM II contract vehicles.
FCSA allows the Pentagon to order bandwidth and other commercial satellite services directly from industry providers. This gives federal buyers, in addition to certain state and local buyers, a fast and easy way to purchase DRS Technical Services' satellite products and services.
"We've seen a major transition by the military to GSA's Schedules and with the addition of satellite subscription services to our contract, customers now have easier access to our entire commercial offering," said Jim Scott, vice president and general manager of TSI's Global Communications."We applaud GSA's initiative in managing the FCSA program and their efforts in serving the military."
