British pilot dies in Swiss small plane crashGENEVA - A British pilot and his passenger have died in the crash of their small plane in Switzerland, police said Saturday.
Vaud canton police spokesman Stephane Birrer told AFP that the 29-year-old pilot was English and a British resident. The nationality of the 40-year-old passenger who lived in Switzerland was not immediately known.

The Piper took off from Colombier in the western Neuchatel canton for the central Fribourg region on Friday morning.
Thirty minutes after take-off air traffic controllers lost contact with the plane.
A search involving three helicopters found the wreckage of the plane near Lake Neuchatel.
The cause of the crash was being investigated and police have asked possible witnesses to come forward.
