SAIC to Demo Solutions that Protect, Unburden and Empower the Warfighter

  • at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2011 Annual Meeting and Exposition
McLean, Va. - Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] announced today it will demonstrate how its integrated base defense solutions and modeling and simulation capabilities protect, unburden and empower the individual soldier and small tactical combat units at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2011 Annual Meeting and Exposition, Oct. 10-12 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

With a conference theme of "America's Army: The Strength of the Nation", AUSA 2011 is one of the largest land warfare expositions and professional development forums in the world. The annual meeting includes informative presentations, panel discussions on pertinent military and national security subjects, workshops, and important AUSA business meetings. Each year more than 30,000 attendees, including senior leaders from the U.S. Army, Department of Defense, and Congress, as well as foreign dignitaries, participate in the AUSA Annual Meeting.


SAIC senior leaders in attendance will demonstrate how the company is committed to meeting the demands of today's Army operating in the United States and abroad. In addition, SAIC defense and modeling and simulation experts attending the conference will showcase how the company is:

--Protecting soldiers with integrated, reliable, scalable safeguards that include systems such as CounterBomber(r), Transparent, Real-Time Enterprise Network Defense (TREND), the Tactical Sand Table, and the Intelli-Sense Ground Surveillance System.
--Unburdening soldiers with support capabilities that relieve the cognitive burdens of training and intelligence systems, such as the On-Line Interactive Virtual Environment (OLIVE), Pursuit & Exploitation vehicle systems, and the Sensor Processing Suite.
--Empowering soldiers with advanced systems that provide access to critical information and the means to affect decision outcomes, such as logistics, readiness, and sustainment solutions, manned and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, interactive multimedia logistics and training solutions, and the Robotic Applique Kit.
