Taiwan's China Airlines joins SkyTeam air alliance
TAOYUAN, Taiwan - Taiwan's leading airline China Airlines joined the SkyTeam air alliance Wednesday, a move the company said will enable it to gain greater access to the global market.The airline joins 14 other companies in the group, including Air France and the US's Delta, enabling their frequent flyers to earn and redeem mileage on its flights, and vice versa.
Founded in 1959, China Airlines operates a fleet of 68 aircraft and flies to 80 destinations in 28 countries.
