Codan Introduces the 3591 CES Voice Encryption Unit

DSEi, London (Booth N4-571) - September 13, 2011 --[ASDWire]-- Codan Limited (ASX: CDA), a communications and metal detection company, has announced the availability of the 3591 CES Voice Encryption unit. The Codan CES 3591 is based upon Codan's secure, robust CES-128 bit voice encryption technology that has been field-proven in thousands of installations. The introduction of the 3591 brings the capability to extend fully-secure communications to third-party systems and allows military commanders to bridge the interoperability gap between multiple vendor-fielded networks. The unit is compact, and its size enables multiple deployment scenarios, from manpack, mobile, and base platforms. "The ability to interoperate securely with military and security forces is critical to their success," said Steven Jenkins, director, Product Management, Codan Radio Communications. "Codan's products are ideal for this type of requirement, as the Codan 3591 unit can integrate with existing radio networks to provide interoperability between Codan radios with CES encryption, and other high frequency radios." The 3591 CES Voice Encryption Unit enables a customer to seamlessly construct a secure network containing radios from multiple manufacturers. Featuring a waterproof, rugged chassis, which has been machined from aircraft-grade aluminium, the 3591 unit includes support for up to 98 encryption keys and global/corporate encryption types, with individual session PINs. The 3591 unit is fully compatible with Codan's KMS and KFS key-fill solutions, and supports base, mobile, and manpack deployments, with extremely low power consumption.
