URS To Provide Support Services to Marine Corps Systems Command

  • Contract has a Maximum Value of $45 Million to URS
San Francisco - URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that it has been awarded a contract extension by the Marine Corps Systems Command to provide program management, engineering, logistics, safety, quality and administrative support to the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle Program (MRAP) in Stafford, VA. The one-year contract extension has a maximum value of $45 million to URS.

Under the terms of the contract, URS will provide comprehensive professional and program management services for all MRAP vehicles and associated systems.

Commenting on the award, Randall A. Wotring, President of Federal Services for URS, said: "We are pleased to be continuing our longstanding relationship with the Marine Corps through this important program and to be supporting its efforts to provide fully capable, mine resistant, ambush protected vehicles to U.S. military personnel."
