Beaver to Highlight Innovative Electromechanical Actuation Technology

  • At AUVSI Unmanned Systems 2011
Livonia, Mich. - Beaver Aerospace & Defense, Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacturing of unique and broad-range actuation technologies, will highlight its electromechanical actuation technology at AUVSI's Unmanned Systems North America 2011. With Beaver's innovative electromechanical actuation technology, aircraft manufacturers can eliminate hydraulics, which increases reliability and reduces weight and maintenance.

Beaver's award-winning electromechanical actuators and ball screws are found on some of the most advanced aircraft, missile applications and mission-critical space exploration systems in the world, ranging from the Global Hawk UAV to the B1 Bomber. Back in June, Beaver announced contracts with Piper Aircraft and Sky Aircraft to provide its electromechanical flap actuation system for the PiperJet Altaire and Skylander SK-105.

In addition to actuation design and manufacturing, Beaver provides expert repair, overhaul and testing services for all electromechanical actuation systems and ball screws.
