Seven people, five of them cabin crew, were injured Friday when a passenger plane hit a pocket of air turbulence en route from Beijing to Hong Kong, carrier Dragonair said.
A company spokeswoman said it was not immediately clear how seriously the seven were injured when the incident occurred on the Airbus A330, which was carrying 135 passengers and 14 crew.
"All involved passengers and crew, after undergoing medical treatment at the Hong Kong International Airport, have been sent to the hospital for further medical examination or treatment," the airline said in a statement.
Dragonair is an affiliate of Hong Kong's flag carrier, Cathay Pacific.
