Iberia continues to use navigation data from Lufthansa Systems

Iberia has decided to extend the use of the Lido/FMS database from Lufthansa Systems for another five years. The Spanish airline recently renewed its contract for the use of the comprehensive navigation data from Lufthansa Systems for its Flight Management System (FMS).

The Lido/FMS database from Lufthansa Systems contains all important route information including altitude and airport data for optimizing routes and supporting autopilots on board modern aircraft. The navigation data, which are based on global aeronautical information, are updated and organized monthly and can be customized to specific routes and for the use in any type of aircraft. Lufthansa Systems can thus meet the requirements and needs of the airlines.

Iberia is the largest Spanish airline and the fourth largest airline in Europe. With its fleet of 180 aircraft, the founding member of oneworld flies to 112 destinations in 46 countries.
