AAR Named Exclusive Provider of Specialized Pallets for UK MoD

Wood Dale, Illinois - AAR (NYSE:AIR) today announced that its Mobility Systems unit has been awarded an exclusive three-year, multi-million dollar contract by the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence to supply up to 6,000 specialized cargo pallets for use on a variety of fixed-wing transport aircraft in its military fleet.

The specialized Air Cargo Pallets (ACPs) will be used in conjunction with Ministry of Defence (MoD) cargo handling systems to transport supplies in aircraft, within airfreight terminals and on motorized and non-motorized vehicles. The 10,000-pound capacity pallets will be deployed on a variety of fixed-wing MoD transport aircraft including the Hercules C-130J and C-130K; the C-17A Globemaster; the Tri-Star VC-10; the Airbus 330 Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft; the Airbus 400 Military Transport; and the Antonov AN-124.
