URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that it has been selected to provide engineering, technical and program management support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Crane, Indiana. The single award contract has a two-year term and a maximum value of $45 million to URS. Under the terms of the contract, URS will provide a range of services, including research, design, development, acquisition, prototyping and life-cycle support for Navy and Department of Defense Electronic Warfare Systems. The majority of the work will be performed at NSWC and at URS' nearby facility in the WestGate@ Crane Technology Park.
Commenting on the contract, Randall A. Wotring, President of Federal Services for URS, said: "URS is pleased by this award and committed to providing the highest level of technical support for our nation's warfighters. As a leading provider of engineering, electronics and logistics support to the Department of Defense, we look forward to bringing our expert electronic warfare and information operations capabilities to the U.S. Navy through this agreement."
