Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) today announced the recent deliveries of its Beechcraft King Air 350C turboprops, equipped with a cargo door and specially-designed modified interior, to the Colombian Air Force for use as air ambulances. The aircraft were sold to Colombia under a Foreign Military Sales agreement with the United States Department of Defense. Five King Air 350 aircraft have been delivered to date, while a sixth is expected to be delivered later this year.
"The King Air 350C is an obvious and reliable choice for this important mission of the Colombian Air Force," said Ted Farid, HBC senior vice president, International Sales. "It has a spacious and flexible cabin, which can be configured on either a temporary or permanent basis to accommodate the unique equipment and requirements of the medical evacuation roles, and it can operate virtually anywhere because of its rugged durability."
