SELEX Sistemi Integrati, a Finmeccanica company has been awarded a contract worth 10 million Euros with the NACMA NATO agency through ACSI (Air Command Systems International) a joint venture which has the role of leading company for the Air Command and Control System (ACCS) programme.
The contract, won after a competition which involved several major European companies, deals with the realization of two sites which replicate the NATO Air Command and Control System in use for air operations management.
The sites which will be equipped thanks to the design, installation, hardware and software tests of the ACCS are located in Hungary and Norway.
SELEX Sistemi Integrati will start working on the installation of 173 operator posts and the integration of the ACCS with the National systems at the end of 2010 and will deliver the system by 2015, when also the final validation to verify interoperability with the other ACCS NATO centres will be concluded.
The new contract is added to the agreement signed last February by the company which refers to a 14,5 million euro order for the integration of 230 sensors for all the eleven replication sites.
