Sports plane crashed in Serbia, two dead: official

BELGRADE, Sept 4, 2010 (AFP) - A sports plane crashed at a civilian airport in Serbia on Saturday, killing two people on board, the state-run Tanjug news agency reported.

"A pilot and his passenger were killed when a private plane belonging to a local aero-club crashed near Lisicji Jarak airport," 20 kilometres (12 miles) from Belgrade, a spokeswoman for the civilian air authority told Tanjug.

Investigators were at the scene to establish the cause of the crash, she added.
