AUVSI Names NGC's Gene Fraser to Its National Board of Directors

  • Fraser to Speak on the Future of Unmanned Systems on Aug. 24 in Denver
(San Diego, August 23, 2010) -- Gene Fraser, sector vice president of engineering for Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Aerospace Systems sector and the corporation's lead executive for unmanned systems, has been named to the Association of Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI) National Board of Directors. Fraser will be speaking on the future of unmanned systems at Northrop Grumman's press conference scheduled for Aug. 24 at the AUVSI National Conference in Denver. AUVSI is the world's largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to advancing the unmanned systems community.

A leader in the evolution of technology to meet complex customer challenges, Fraser directs Northrop Grumman's unmanned systems strategy team that is positioning the company's unmanned systems portfolio to meet evolving needs and requirements -- from "dull, dirty and dangerous" missions to advanced capabilities needed for new space, air, land and sea missions. Based on his 27 years experience in engineering and program management, coupled with service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Fraser has become a leading advocate of the utility and integration of unmanned systems for military and civil applications throughout the world.
