ManTech Receives $23 M from DoD's DISA

  • Potential five-year contract to provide security support and operations management
(Fairfax, Va., August 19, 2010) -- ManTech International Corporation (NASDAQ:MANT), a leading provider of technical and engineering services and solutions vital to the nation's interest and security, announced that it has received a $23 million contract to support the Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Manpower, Personnel and Security (MPS), Security Division. The contract has an initial one-year base period with four one-year renewal options.

For the contract, ManTech will support the start-up of new DISA facilities at Fort Meade, Md., which are moving from Arlington, Va., as a result the Base Closure and Realignment (BRAC) process. Specifically, ManTech will be supporting DISA's security operations by providing full-scope, integrated security services.

DISA, a combat support agency, engineers and provides command and control capabilities and enterprise infrastructure to continuously operate and assure a global net-centric enterprise in direct support to joint warfighters, national-level leaders and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of operations. The agency's Security Division provides security policy, guidance and oversight to DISA activities worldwide, using a multi-discipline and risk management approach. It also provides traditional security assistance in information, personnel, physical and special security reviews/assessments in support of the DISA's certification and accreditation process.
