SAIC Awarded Contract by Defense Logistics Agency

  • Company to Support Anniston and Red River Army Depots with Supply Chain Management of Industrial Hardware and Repair Parts
(McLean, Va., August 16, 2010) -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a prime contract by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) - Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio to support the Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), Anniston, Ala., the Red River Army Depot (RRAD), Texarkana, Texas, and U.S. military customers around the world. The single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a four year base period of performance, two two-year options and a total contract ceiling of $241 million. Work will be performed primarily at ANAD and RRAD.

The depots support vehicle maintenance for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. Under the contract, SAIC will provide supply chain management of industrial hardware and repair parts required for the repair of military vehicles. SAIC will also provide services including collaborative demand forecasting, parts acquisition, storage, delivery, inventory management, quality assurance, data management, field-based customer support; and order processing and fulfillment.
