CMC Awarded Contract Extension for Additional FMS for BLACK HAWK Helicopters(Farnborough International Air Show, July 19, 2010) -- Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has received an extension valued at $23.6 million to a purchase order from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for an additional quantity of CMC's CMA-2082MC Flight Management System (FMS) and CMA-2088 Emergency Control Panel (ECP) in support of the U.S. Army UH-60M and S-70i(tm) international BLACK HAWK helicopters.
Deliveries are scheduled at the end of 2012. CMC was awarded the original purchase order by Sikorsky in support of their multi-year seven contract with the U.S. Army in January, 2007. Two CMC FMSs and one ECP are installed per aircraft.
