CMC Awarded Contract Extension for Additional FMS for BLACK HAWK Helicopters

(Farnborough International Air Show, July 19, 2010) -- Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has received an extension valued at $23.6 million to a purchase order from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for an additional quantity of CMC's CMA-2082MC Flight Management System (FMS) and CMA-2088 Emergency Control Panel (ECP) in support of the U.S. Army UH-60M and S-70i(tm) international BLACK HAWK helicopters.

Deliveries are scheduled at the end of 2012. CMC was awarded the original purchase order by Sikorsky in support of their multi-year seven contract with the U.S. Army in January, 2007. Two CMC FMSs and one ECP are installed per aircraft.

Greg Yeldon, CMC president, said, "This extension to our contract with Sikorsky is excellent news and a solid show of confidence in our Flight Management System to support the needs of the U.S. Army. By utilizing an open architecture design, our FMS is proving to be a powerful and flexible platform with excellent growth capability. Our customers can upgrade their systems easily and be in a position to meet future requirements."
