URS Awarded Vehicle Maintenance and Modification Contract By US Army

  • Contract Has Maximum Value of $140 Million to URS
(San Francisco, July 15, 2010) -- URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command to provide maintenance, repair and modification services for military vehicles and material handling equipment at the Red River Army Depot in New Boston, Texas. The contract, which has a one-year base period followed by two one-year options, has a maximum value of $140 million to URS, assuming both option years are exercised.

Commenting on the contract, Randall A. Wotring, President of Federal Services for URS, said: "We are pleased to have been awarded this contract, which further underscores URS' expertise in providing a full range of support services to the U.S. military around the world. We have supported the U.S. Army's efforts at Red River Army Depot since 1996, and we look forward to continuing to be part of this important work."
