(Delta, BC., Canada, April 9, 2010) -- Analytic Systems is pleased to announce its participation with The Entwistle Company in the supply of custom high performance battery chargers for their Life Raft Launching System for the US Navy DDG-1000 Destroyer Program.
The Entwistle Company of Hudson, MA, is manufacturing the Life Raft Launching System (LRLS) under contract from Bath Iron Works, Bath, ME. These LRLS systems deploy automatically under certain conditions, and can also be launched manually at the individual life raft stations, or in a number of remote locations around the ship. As the systems must operate in all conditions, including loss of ships power, they contain a back-up battery system. Entwistle selected Analytic Systems of Delta, BC, Canada to supply the battery chargers, as they were able to meet the demanding environmental conditions, as well as stay within the allowable space constraints.
The Entwistle Company, founded in 1918, is a specialist in the engineering, design and development, and manufacture of customized products with a proven track record with the US Government and military.
