Honeywell's Integrated Service Solution reduces airlines' upfront capital investment and asset availability in conjunction with maintenance. Under the program, Honeywell will provide spares to US Airways to support critical dispatch needs. Additional equipment is held within Honeywell facilities to support the rapid exchange of removed aircraft equipment. Honeywell's aftermarket service programs provide a comprehensive range of cost-effective maintenance and asset availability solutions to support airline operations throughout the life span of the aircraft.
An APU is a small gas-powered turbine engine that provides compressed air to start the main engines and heat or cool the aircraft cabin. APUs provide electrical power while on the ground and emergency power in the air.
