Hartzell Propeller Adds New STC for Cessna T/P210 to Top Prop Program

  • This STC approval means that our new propellers will be deployed with the very latest blended airfoil design, engineering and manufacturing technology
(Piqua, Ohio, April 15, 2010) -- Hartzell Propeller Inc. has received FAA approval for a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) that covers new 3-bladed propellers installed on Cessna's pressurized P210N (1978-84) and turbocharged T210F-N (1966-84) models.

Hartzell's senior vice-president of marketing and customer services, Mike Disbrow said, "This STC approval means that our new propellers will be deployed with the very latest blended airfoil design, engineering and manufacturing technology. Our R&D department is constantly striving to provide customers with advanced propeller design, and these propellers have shown significant improvements in take-off, climb and cruise performance."

Installation of the Hartzell model HC-J3YF-1RF/F8068, 82" diameter Scimitar 3-blade prop on the Cessna T/P210 Series typically offers a one- to three-knot increase in cruise speed, and a 4% decrease in time to climb to 23,000 feet, when compared to the originally-installed McCauley C402 3-blade.

It also reduces noise by 1.2 dB(a) when compared to the McCauley C402 3-blade, and by 0.3dB(a) compared to the McCauley C88 3-blade.
