NGC Wins US Navy C2 Software Development and Integration Award

(San Diego, March 1, 2010) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has received an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) award from the U.S. Navy to provide command and control (C2) software development as well as modification and enhancement of existing C2 and tactical data link systems.

Northrop Grumman is one of five companies that received awards under the ID/IQ contract from the Space and Naval Warfare System Command, San Diego, for the Navy's Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence systems, PMW150. The companies will compete for task orders with a potential value of more than $600 million collectively over a three-year base period and two one-year award terms, making the potential period of performance five years.

"Northrop Grumman remains fully committed to the Navy's mission for future open architecture solutions based on guidance from Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) and Net-centric Enterprise Solutions for Interoperability (NESI)," said Mike Twyman, vice president of Integrated Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence Systems for Northrop Grumman's Information Systems sector. "We will continue evolving Navy C2 systems to meet future requirements and rapidly deliver the new capabilities to our warfighters."

The scope of this contract includes software design, development and modification; software integration and related test and evaluation; software systems engineering support; and support functions such as integrated logistics and configuration and program management.
