Luciad shows latest ATC/ATM/AIM visualization technology at ATC Global 2010

High performance visualization solutions enabling next-generation air transportation on stand D516

Leuven, Belgium, March 1, 2010 --[ASDWire]-- Luciad, the specialist in high performance visualization for situational awareness applications in Aviation, will be showcasing its latest advances in Human-Machine Interface Technology for ATC/ATM/AIM systems at the upcoming ATC Global event on March 9-11 at the Amsterdam RAI Convention Center, The Netherlands. ATC Global is the annual meeting place for the Air Traffic Management & Services community.


On stand D516, Luciad will be presenting live displays of LuciadMap(tm), its flagship software for building high-end aeronautical information systems with class leading graphical display capabilities.

LuciadMap offers high-performance out-of-the-box decoding and visualization of AIXM 5.1 and WXXM data, the new data standards jointly developed by the FAA and EUROCONTROL for achieving System Wide Information Management (SWIM) in the NextGen and SESAR programs.

Visitors will discover the latest technology in support of SWIM through realistic demo scenarios including bad weather conditions, runway surface contaminations and Special Use Airspaces (SUAs).

Also on display will be LuciadMap-based applications that provide to pilots and operators a dynamic Common Operational Picture by showing up-to-date aeronautical and meteorological information. This common situational awareness platform is set to dramatically improve aviation safety and efficiency.
