This fourth aircraft will remain in Capodichino and is currently being used for training.

As part of the program, training for the C-27/G.222 aircrew and maintenance for the U.S. Air Force Advisors is being carried out by Alenia at Capodichino. The training courses for pilots, loadmasters, crew chiefs, and maintenance personnel last between 15 and 40 days, depending on the duties.
