P&W and Royal Brunei Sign Exclusive V2500 Part Repair Service Agreement
(Singapore, February 3, 2010) -- Pratt & Whitney and Royal Brunei Airlines signed an exclusive three-year agreement for engine overhauls and part repair services for the airline's V2500 engines. Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX)."We are pleased to select Pratt & Whitney for our V2500 overhaul and part repair needs, said S. P. Tan, executive vice president, Engineering for Royal Brunei Airlines. "As a major partner in the International Aero Engines consortium, we are confident Pratt & Whitney can best meet our needs."
"These V2500 overhauls and part repair work will be performed at our Christchurch Engine Center in New Zealand, part of our Global Service Partners network," said Tom Mayes, vice president, Global Engine Centers, Pratt & Whitney. "In addition to the overhaul and repair services, we will also work with Royal Brunei to provide lease engine support to ensure minimal disruption to their operations."
