Russian cargo ship docks with ISS

MOSCOW, Feb 5, 2010 (AFP) - A Russian cargo ship carrying more than 2.6 tonnes of freight, including DVDs and chocolate, docked Friday with the International Space Station (ISS), the control centre said.

Launched from the Baikonur space centre in Kazakhstan, the Progress spaceship docked with the ISS at 0426 GMT, said a control centre spokesman, Valery Lyndin, adding that the docking was done automatically.

Among the cargo carried by the Pogress M-04M ship were water, fuel and oxygen as well as chocolate and DVDs for the cosmonauts aboard the station, Lyndin told AFP.
