URS Awarded Defense Distribution Services Contract by DLA

  • Contract Has Maximum Value of $29 Million to URS
(San Francisco, January 26, 2010) -- URS Corporation (NYSE:URS) today announced that it has been awarded a re-compete contract by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to provide materiel distribution services at the Defense Distribution Depot in Jacksonville, Florida (DDJF). The contract, which has a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, has a maximum value of $29 million to URS assuming all four option periods are awarded.

The DDJF provides worldwide materiel distribution services for the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Army and Air Force. Under the terms of the contract, URS will provide various logistical services at the Jacksonville facility, including the management and processing of new procurements; returns; redistribution orders; disposal release orders; and re-consignments.
