Daniel W. Chang Named VP of Maritime and Tactical Systems Programs

(Bethpage, N.Y., January 18, 2010) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Daniel W. Chang vice president of Maritime and Tactical Systems programs. Chang will be responsible for leading the company's efforts on the Littoral Combat Ship Mission Package Integration (LCS MPI) program, its Airborne Mine Counter Measures (AMCM) programs, and its maritime laser weapons programs.

Chang will report to Tom Vice, sector vice president and general manager of the company's Aerospace Systems sector's Battle Management and Engagement Systems Division.

Most recently, Chang served as director and deputy IPT leader to vice president James Culmo and the Airborne Early Warning/Battle Management Command and Control (AEW/BMC2) business. He was responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the strategic vision and the successful execution of all internally and externally funded program activities.

Additionally, he was responsible for the successful daily execution of all programs managed by the AEW/BMC2 IPT. The programs included the system design and demonstration and production of the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye for the United States Navy, and E-2C Hawkeye production for both U.S. Navy and international Hawkeye program customers. Prior to his role as deputy, Chang served as the director of the IPT's program integration and systems engineering integration teams.

He joined Northrop Grumman in 2001 as a senior engineer leading the integration, test and mission planning engineering on the CVN-77 weapons systems integration program. He also served as deputy program manager for the company's Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Capture Team.

Chang is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and Naval Post Graduate School, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Science as well as a Master of Science degree in Financial Management. He also completed the Harvard Business School executive education program.
